Martha C. Szatkowski

Martha C. Szatkowski concentrates her practice in health care law and product and premises liability. Ms. Szatkowski's health care practice focuses on the defense of hospitals and physicians as well as nursing home litigation. She also has experience in the defense of product and premises liability claims arising in toxic tort cases. Ms. Szatkowski is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Indiana.  She has had the opportunity to work on all aspects of cases going to trial in both states and has had cases go to verdict in Cook County, Illinois and Lake County, Indiana.

Ms. Szatkowski was recognized by Chicago Magazine and Illinois Super Lawyer magazine as a Rising Star for 2012.  Rising Stars are attorneys under the age of 40 who have been in practice for 10 years or less, and it is a distinction given to approximately 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state. She is a contributor to the Johnson & Bell publication Health Care Law Alert and has been a presenter on topics that include the Medical Studies Act and Attorney Client Privilege.
